Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas to become professional athlete. In the following year, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic award at 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting the new world junior record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to win the 200 meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
